Career
Charmy Kaur started acting when she was just 13 years old in a Telugu movie called “Nee Thodu Kavali.” Even though the movie didn’t do well, it got her noticed by people in the South Indian film industry. After that, she tried acting in a Tamil movie called “Kadhal Azhivathillai” alongside Silambarasan. She also did a Malayalam movie called “Kattuchembakam” around the same time.
She came back to Telugu movies with “Neeke Manasichaanu” and then acted in “Sri Anjaneyam,” directed by Krishna Vamsi. Another movie she did was “Chanti,” where she acted with Ravi Teja. But it was “Gowri” that really made her famous in Telugu cinema. She worked with Ravi Teja again in “Dongala Mutha,” directed by Ram Gopal Varma.
In 2012, she appeared in special roles in movies like “Dhamarukam,” “Naayak,” and “Yaare Koogadali.” She also tried her hand in Hindi movies like “Zila Ghaziabad” and “R… Rajkumar.”
Charmy not only acted but also produced movies. She produced and acted in “Jyothi Lakshmi” in 2015, directed by Puri Jagannadh. Her 50th movie was “Pratighatana,” where she played the role of a journalist.
She co-produced several movies like “Rogue” and “Paisa Vasool,” both directed by Puri Jagannadh. She also worked on “Mehbooba” with Puri Jagannadh, launching his son Akash Puri into the industry.
